Don’t you just love it when someone completely blows your preconceptions about what is possible?
Brad quite literally blew minds when this video emerged of him riding some kind of hybrid, finless skimboard in everything from fun to seriously heavy waves. This guy is balance personified. The number of hours he has spent in the water combined with his freakish talent threatens to change our attitude to shortboarding.
Will we learn from it and progress accordingly? Probably not. I think he is before his time. Maybe in 20 years the standard shortboard will be an inch thick, two foot long with micro fins. But for now we’ll just watch Brad with awe.
