Jonno Durrant and Stefan Hunt are making my travels look bad. I went to India for six months, rode bikes, got drunk, danced in a robe and scored some waves. They went for three months, helped communities with things like clean water filters, made a film and also scored some waves. In all 28 states.
The resulting film will no doubt provide an insightful glimpse into community life on the manic subcontinent, interspersed with hilarity of the sort that can only ever happen in India. I can only imagine the reception they would have had in some of the spots rarely frequented by Westerners, nevermind two Aussies armed with strange looking boats.
The duo’s previous work includes Surfing 50 States (USA) and follow-up Somewhere Near Tapachula (Mexico), which is a must-see.
