A Surfboard Paint Party and Reunion will be held Saturday night at Catalyst Surf Shop to bring back the fun surf vibe of the 1990’s.
Hosted by Lost Surfboards and Drew Brophy, this is the first time ever to gather together the original crew of artists who pioneered a new way of painting surfboards with Posca paint pens.
Lost Surfboards and Drew Brophy made history over twenty years ago when they starting hand painting every surfboard with Posca Paint Pens. This tidal wave of creativity inspired artists from around the world and changed the way surfboards were painted forever.
This is a rare opportunity for the public to meet the artists and watch the collaboration. Artists who will be painting during the event include Matt Biolos, Drew Brophy, Timmy Patterson, Max McGhee, Chad Cantcolor, Jim Zapala, Terry Shin, Randall Kramer, Thadeus Gardner, Scott Metzner and Tom Sutherland.
The public is invited to join in the celebration and paint mini-surfboards alongside the Artists, who will be painting Lost surfboards as guests watch.
Mini surfboards and painting supplies will be provided by Brophy Art Gallery at no charge while supplies last.
