The Drive Thru is Back!

The Drive Thru series is iconic. The format is so simple but so effective; put a crew of unique surf personalities in RVs and film them as they travel unfamiliar coastlines looking for surf.

At a time when surf films more or less followed the tried and tested three minute segment set to music, Drive Thru provided a more candid glimpse into the surfer’s personalities. It almost felt like we were riding along on the surf trip.

Destinations included the USA, South Africa, Europe, New Zealand, Australia and more.

The Drive Thru Comedy Gold

Who can forget the Drive Thru comedy gold? Benji Weatherly’s mood swings, Martin Potter falling off of an ostrich, Tim Curran losing his sunglasses when looking out the window, or virtually everything that Shawn “Barney” Barron did or said.

Donavon Frankenreiter

Donavon Frankenreiter is a star of each and every episode. Donnie takes his electronic keyboard with him on most trips, providing entertaining musical interludes.

This classic scene has Donavon commentating the impromptu Rob Machado vs Timmy Curran Surfing Event, accompanied by Greg Browning and the full array of sound effects on his keyboard.

The Drive Thru Season 10

The Drive Thru is back today for it’s tenth season!

Producers Greg Browning and Taylor Steele have been working tirelessly on the new series and it is looking to be just as awesome as past efforts.

“After a whole bunch of conversations with all kinds of people about ‘Drive Thru 10’ I couldn’t have asked for anything more.”

The Drive Thru Cast Members

Donavon Frankenreiter and Benji Weatherly are back to ensure the original crew are well represented.

The boys are joined by Hendrix Frankenreiter, Parker Coffin, Griffin Colapinto, and Eric Geiselman, on a fun filled trip to destinations on on both the east and west coasts of America. They surf not only ocean waves, but also make stops at some of the world’s best wave pools.

We’ve talked about it for years. Everything that led up to getting Season 10 done has just added to the legend, and we can’t wait to show this next generation what all the excitement is about.
