I was born and raised in Lancaster County Pennsylvania, which is home to the Amish, cornfields, farm animals, and not much else. Every year since I was born, my family would take a two-week vacation to Long Beach Island, New Jersey. It was those two weeks each year where my true love in this world was found. The ocean. Despite having salt water in my veins since birth, growing up a few hours from the closest beach left me no option but to find other hobbies as well. Apart from the sun, salt, sand, and surfing, the other ever-present love in my life has been golf. Following graduation from Kutztown University, I got the chance to finally combine my two passions. I received an opportunity to move to Charleston, SC to be an assistant golf pro at Charleston National Golf Course. While I no longer work in the golf industry, I can never thank it enough for gifting me the opportunity to move to such a wonderful place. Seven plus years on, I still must pinch myself daily when I realize that a kid from the cornfields of Amish Country now finds himself living only two blocks from the ocean!
