Where It All Began
SUMARPO’s story began in a small UK design studio in 2008 — with a bold idea and a clear mission: to build wetsuits that met the real-world needs of professional triathletes.
Driven by a deep respect for performance and precision, the founding team believed there was a better way to design swimwear — one that was streamlined, technical, and tested to the limit. They obsessed over every panel, seam, and material to find the perfect balance of speed, buoyancy, and comfort.
Their hard work paid off. In 2018, the product range expanded. By 2019, SUMARPO had relocated to Southern California — bringing the brand closer to the water and the growing global community of triathletes, surfers, and open-water swimmers.
Today, SUMARPO’s experienced team continues to push wetsuit design forward — with innovation that supports both athletes and the planet.

Mission Statement
To empower athletes to move faster, freer, and more consciously — with high-performance wetsuits that protect both the body and the environment. SUMARPO is here to redefine what sustainable performance really looks and feels like in the water.
What Sets SUMARPO Apart
- Zero-Petroleum Neoprene Alternatives:
SUMARPO uses plant-based and limestone-derived materials instead of petroleum neoprene. That means better performance for you — and no toxic byproducts leaching into our oceans. - Water-Based Glues & Dope-Dyed Yarns:
No solvents, no heavy water usage, and no harsh chemical runoff. Just smarter, cleaner production that reduces emissions and saves water. - Elite-Approved Performance:
SUMARPO wetsuits are tested by elite triathletes and endurance athletes. Expect lightweight buoyancy, serious shoulder flexibility, and thermal comfort when you need it most. - Minimal Drag, Maximum Movement:
Whether you’re slicing through swell or stretching out your freestyle, these suits offer next-level mobility with a barely-there feel. - Looks That Perform:
Sleek black-on-black designs with sharp, streamlined cuts — SUMARPO suits are all business in the water, but still stylish enough to turn heads on the sand.

Sustainability Commitment
SUMARPO doesn’t greenwash. It walks the walk — with a full lifecycle approach to sustainability. The brand uses FSC-certified packaging, non-toxic adhesives, and dye processes that drastically reduce carbon emissions and water waste. From factory floor to finish line, every step is guided by environmental responsibility.
And because it believes in total transparency, SUMARPO shares its process — so customers can feel good knowing their gear is part of the solution, not the problem.
And it doesn’t end there.

Wetsuit Recycling Program
Don’t toss your old wetsuit — recycle it.
Send in your used wetsuit (any brand), and SUMARPO will recycle it responsibly through TerraCycle. As a thank you, you’ll receive 30% off your next SUMARPO wetsuit.
Less landfill. More ocean. That’s the deal.
Community & Impact
SUMARPO partners with a global network of triathletes, swimmers, and surfers who share a commitment to protecting the waters they train in. Through education, innovation, and gear that speaks for itself, the brand is helping reshape the future of performance gear — one wetsuit at a time.
